Åsa Waern joins AIDA Data Hub as new Head

We are pleased to welcome Åsa Waern as new Head of the AIDA Data Hub. Åsa brings more than 25 years of experience in research and innovation within the defence domain, as well as extensive experience in technical research, project management and leadership.

In her new role, Åsa will be responsible for the continued strategic development of the AIDA Data Hub. She will also contribute to the further technical development of the infrastructure and to developing national and international collaborations.

Åsa has extensive experience as a project manager for national and international technical research projects and has held management positions in both the private and public sectors. Her background in the defence domain also includes experience of working with complex technical systems and secure infrastructures.

At AIDA, Åsa will focus on the continued development of the technical infrastructure and on supporting collaboration between researchers and other partners in life science AI. Her experience from the defence domain will also contribute to maintaining the security of the infrastructure as AIDA Data Hub continues to develop.
